Short boilerplate (30 words)
PocketStrum is an electronic autoharp for iPhone. Hold a chord, sweep the twelve-string strumplate, and every note lands in tune — 108 chords, six synth voices and five rhythms.
Longer boilerplate (90 words)
PocketStrum rebuilds the cult electronic autoharp of the early 1980s as a real-time synthesiser for iPhone. Press a chord key with your left thumb, sweep the twelve-string strumplate with your right, and the strings retune themselves to whatever you're holding — so a wrong note isn't available to you. It carries 108 chords, six voices, five rhythms with an auto-bass that follows your changes, MIDI out, and a learn mode that pauses a song until you play the next chord. One purchase, no subscription, no data collected. Wonderchord is the same instrument rebuilt for children aged 2–6.
The one-line angle
A £600 cult instrument that made non-musicians into songwriters, rebuilt for £9.99 by one person in the UK — with no subscription, no ads and no data collection, in an App Store where all three are the norm.
